Three Moves No One Would Have Expected A Year Back

It’s becoming clearer and clearer that Guus Hiddink is not the man in charge of making big moves. No big names are expected in the next couple of days which means that all the action will go down in the summer. Hopefully Chelsea will not have to suffer because of the whole Bertrand Traore deal as FIFA are investigating his transfer from Auxerre. If they rule in favor of banning the Blues from the next couple of transfer windows, it will change a lot of things. Real Madrid and Atletico are on the verge of losing their transferring rights as well and are waiting for the result of their appeal. It would be a massive hit for Chelsea but again, nothing is certain yet. Getting past that, it looks like three moves are about to be completed by the end of the week.

The first is that of Alexandre Pato. Frequently linked to Chelsea, the Brazillian has returned to Europe and landed in the UK, London to be more specific. Tweets and Instagram posts showed the striker in Heathrow from where he was rumored to headed for Stamford Bridge. Metro said that Corinthians have agreed to a £8million transfer that will spread over three years. Pato is to replace Remy who is linked to Leicester and Newcastle and Falcao who is probably to return to Monaco after recovering from injury.

The second transfer is something no one would have thought of. Apparently The Blues are inquiring about none other than Robin van Persie. Once one of the best strikers in the Premier League, the Dutchman has reached rock bottom and repeatedly complained about not being the number one pick for Fenerbahce. The 32-year-old who captained Arsenal and became the PL’s best striker while at Manchester United, is under contract until 2018 but could consider returning to the UK for at least a couple of months. Honestly it`s hard to figure out if Pato could do a better job than van Persie.

The last transfer that no one expected is that of Ramires to Jiangsu. The Brazilian is apparently becoming the most expensive transfer ever made in China. What is even more interesting is that he will be managed by former Chelsea legend Dan Petrescu who is now in charge of Jiangsu. Ramires – 28 – is going to add £25million to the Blues’ budget.
