Three Bundesliga Clubs Pursuing Deal To Sign Chelsea Teenager

Borussia Dortmund, Bayer Leverkusen and RB Leipzig are all interested in signing Chelsea centre-back Ethan Ampadu on loan, according to reports in England.

Manager Frank Lampard has confirmed that the 18-year-old will be let go on a temporary basis this summer in order to gain more first-team experience.

Aston Villa and Derby have been named as two clubs who would be interested in signing Ampadu on a season-long loan but the Welshman could well be attracted by a move to the Bundesliga.

In recent seasons, the likes of Arsenal’s Reiss Nelson, West Ham’s Reece Oxford and Everton’s Ademola Lookman have had successful loan spells in Germany.

The Bundesliga is a vibrant, attacking league where young players are given generous amounts of game time, and Ampadu could well flourish.

A switch to another Premier League side could also prove beneficial, though, if that is, he is afforded a good number of minutes on the pitch.
