Thorgan Hazard Set To Leave Chelsea

Thorgan Hazard is set on signing a permanent deal with Borussia Monchengladbach after the German side confirmed their interest in Chelsea’s midfielder. According to the Daily Mail, the Belgian will be moving to Germany for good after his deal with the Blues expires. Currently on loan with Monchengladbach and with his contract with Chelsea set to expire in June, Eden’s brother will more than likely part ways with his sibling who has extended his stay in London until 2020.

Eden Hazard was rumored to have made his brother’s transfer to Chelsea a mandatory clause in the deal that brought Mourinho’s star to London. Unfortunately Thorgan was not able to hold his own and was constantly on the bench or on loan. Returning to Stamford Bridge is no longer an option for the 21 year old who needs to play on a constant basis. Even if the bond between him and his brother has been strong and has kept the two close to each other for a long time, it is time for the midfielders to part ways.

Monchengladbach have the first chance of signing Hazard who has been a strong presence for the Germans during his past few months in the Bundesliga. Apparently they have a complicated deal in front of them though as Chelsea plan on trying to lend Thorgan for one more year rather than selling him. Rumors have it that a buy-back clause which will allow the Blues to sign Hazard for the same price they sold him might convince Mourinho to let Eden’s brother join the German side for good.
