Chelsea would have to pay around £60m if they want to secure the services of Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling this summer, according to reports in England.
A number of reliable sources have confirmed the Blues’ interest in the England international, but supporters on Twitter don’t believe the player is worth his price tag:
This would be a bigger L than Lukaku to Chelsea

Would definitely take Sterling but not at 60m. Would rather Jesus if we had the choice though.

60m for dead wood 😳

No way should we spend £60m on this guy

Sterling does only have a year left on his contract so you would have to say that Chelsea would be paying well over the odds if they do match City’s valuation.
Saying that, though, there is expected to be a lot of competition for the 27-year-old’s signature. Both Arsenal and Tottenham are reportedly targeting the player, while interest from Real Madrid has also been mentioned.
It is believed that Sterling will make a final decision on his future when he returns from international duty. England play their last Nations League game against Hungary on Tuesday evening.
