Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain chances of signing AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma on a pre-contract agreement have increased, according to reports in the Italian media.
The Italian, who has 22 caps for his country, was expected to sign an extension with the Rossoneri but it appears that the player is increasingly likely to leave the San Siro.
Both the Blues and PSG are thought to be prepared to match Donnarumma’s wage demands so there could be a battle between the two clubs for the 22-year-old’s signature. However, fans on Twitter are not sure the London club need a new keeper:
This looks to be gathering pace….

Mendy is better, use the money for donna wages and sign on fee for other important targets

With Edouard Mendy performing so well, it does seems strange that Chelsea would be after another number one. However, the Senegalese international has recently turned 29 and the club may be looking at the long term.
It is not every day that a player of Donnarumma’s quality becomes available as a free agent so, in that regard, the move does make a bit more sense.
