This is where I want to play, says Blues star

Chelsea wing-back Victor Moses has expressed his desire to stay at the club for the long run, and insists that Stamford Bridge is where he wants to play.

The Nigerian international surprised many when he starred in the Blues’ title winning campaign last season, and he was widely regarded as one of the best in the league at his position.

This season he has enjoyed the same sort of success on the pitch too, but injuries have hampered his consistency of games.

Regardless though, Moses, who was loaned out three times before Conte came in and stuck with him, says the new contract he was given in March has given him plenty of confidence, as he knows where his future lies.

“It [the contract] gave me even more of a boost to go out there and enjoy my football,” Moses said.

“The new deal gave me a lot more confidence to say this is where I belong, this is where I want to play, this is where I want to help my team and to win trophies.

“Chelsea is one of the biggest football clubs in the world. I am happy here and enjoying it.

“I have always believed in myself. As a footballer it is essential to have that belief.

“I had been on loan three times. I always said to myself that I wanted to break into this team, to do the best I can for this football club.

“The right manager came in and recognised how hard I had worked. As a footballer, if you work hard, then everything else falls into place.”
