Chelsea are set to offload attacking midfielder Tino Anjorin to Lokomotiv Moscow, according to reports in the English media.
The Russian side will take the 19-year-old on loan for the season initially but they do have the option to buy the player at the end of the season for £17m.
It is believed that the Blues have inserted a buyback clause in the deal so they re-sign Anjorin for £34m but supporters on Twitter are very much split on whether selling one of their most promising young players is a good idea:
This IS getting worse by the minute.

Freeing up some talents to get reasonable game time.

Hmm, a better league would have been nice. Don’t see the point with the Russian league. But still can see the business point of view.

There does seem to be a change of policy in terms of Chelsea’s approach to youth. In previous years, Anjorin and other youngsters would have been sent out on loan to give them more game time but it appears they now want to raise as much money as possible from selling academy products, whilst having the option to re-sign them in the future if they turn out to be good enough.
