‘This Guy Will Be A Big Hit’ ‘Signing An End Product’ – Fans On Twitter Hopeful New Recruit Will Get Chelsea Firing

Chelsea announced the signing of Gonzalo Higuain from Juventus last night.

The 31-year-old has joined the Blues on loan for the rest of the season with the Argentine stating he is delighted to be able to play for the London club:

“When the opportunity to join Chelsea presented itself I had to take it. It’s a team I’ve always liked that has a lot of history, a wonderful stadium and they play in the Premier League, a league I’ve always wanted to play in.”

“I now hope I can give back that trust Chelsea have shown me out on the pitch. I can’t wait to start and I hope to adapt as soon as possible.”

Fans on Twitter are hoping Higuain can hit the ground running during his time in England:

The Argentinian international has had a superb track record throughout his career, having scored 264 goals in senior football.

During his time with Real Madrid and Juventus, he collected twelve major trophies and equalled the Serie A goalscoring record during his time at Napoli.

He hit the back of the net 36 times in the 2015/16 campaign under the guidance of Maurizio Sarri.

The pair have now been reunited for a second time, and Chelsea supporters will be hoping that the combination will be just as successful in the Premier League as it was in Italy.
