Thiago Silva Reacts After Hearing Chelsea Teammate Has Agreed Personal Terms With PL Rival

Chelsea defender Thiago Silva has expressed his disappointment at the news that teammate Mason Mount has agreed personal terms with Manchester United.

When the story broke on Wednesday, the Brazilian international took to Instagram to react with a couple of tearful emojis:

It should be pointed out that United and Chelsea have not agreed a transfer fee for Mount yet, and there is thought to be a sizeable gap between the two teams’ valuation of the player.

While the Blues are demanding around £85m, United are reportedly only prepared to offer £55m.

There are other teams interested in Mount if an agreement can’t be reached with United

While it appears that Mount has now made Old Trafford his preferred destination, the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal are also still keen on signing the midfielder.

It means Chelsea shouldn’t be pressured into lowering their asking price for the England international. While Mount may only have a year left on his contract, competition from other clubs suggests that they should be able to hold out for a decent fee.
