Goalkeeper and Defence
GK – Djordje Petrovic – the Serbian didn’t cover himself in glory for Burnley’s second goal on Saturday but he will keep his place ahead of Robert Sanchez versus United.
RB – Malo Gusto – the 20-year-old is very positive in possession but he will have to be mindful defensively when going up against Marcus Rashford.
CB – Axel Disasi – the centre-back is always pretty solid, and he will likely relish the physical battle against Rasmus Hojlund on Thursday evening.
CB – Thiago Silva – Benoit Badiashile looked very rusty against Burnley and, with Trevoh Chalobah still injured, it may be a good idea to reintroduce the Brazilian veteran. He has fallen out of favour under Pochettino in recent weeks but his experience could prove vital against United.
LB – Marc Cucurella – there is a case for recalling Ben Chilwell who should be fully fit after recovering from the dead leg he sustained whilst on international duty. However, Cucurella hasn’t made any mistakes recently and he deserves the chance to cement his position on the left hand side of defence.
