’The worst I’ve ever seen’ – Chelsea fans want Tiemoue Bakayoko out

Chelsea fans want Tiemoue Bakayoko out of Stamford Bridge this summer.

The Frenchman arrived at the club last summer as a £40 million signing from AS Monaco following a promising season in France in which he helped Les Monégasques lift the Ligue 1 title.

However the 23-year-old endured a poor first season with the Blues, with his disappointing performances in the middle of the park attracting criticism from fans and pundits alike.

And such condemnation has continued in pre-season with Bakayoko again failing to impress.

The midfielder was a second-half substitute in Chelsea’s 1-1 draw with Inter Milan on Saturday, and made his presence felt immediately by giving the ball away within moments of coming on, allowing Roberto Gagliardini to slot home and cancel out Pedro’s opener at the Allianz Riviera.

Bakayoko looked wildly out out of place in manager Maurizio Sarri’s high-tempo style of play (known affectionately as Sarri-Ball) – the Frenchman visibly struggling to keep up with midfield partners Jorginho and Cesc Fabregas.

AS Monaco are reportedly keen to bring Bakayoko back to France this summer, while Sevilla are also said to be interested in the struggling Frenchman.

The Chelsea fans have got their fingers crossed …
