The Top 5 Goalscorers For Chelsea In The Premier League Era

Chelsea have had some great names grace the pitch at Stamford Bridge during the Premier League era.

During the most successful period in the club’s history, there have been a number of players who left an indelible mark in their time with the Blues.

The list of players who have topped the goalscoring charts for Chelsea over the years is a who’s who of club greats.

So, press the “next page” as we list the team’s top five goalscorers of the Premier League era, since its inception in 1992.

Frank Lampard (147)

Despite being a midfielder, the club legend was always prolific in front of goal, hitting double figures in ten of his 13 seasons with the London club.

Incredibly, he even managed to hit 22 league goals in a single season back in the 2009/10 campaign. Quite an incredible achievement.

Didier Drogba (104)

The Ivorian will always be remembered for his role in winning the Champions League final against Bayern Munich in 2012 but his Premier League goal record was also very special.

Drogba scored 20 league goals in two of his nine seasons at Stamford Bridge, but his all round game was equally important as he led the line, helping the team to four Premier League titles.

Eden Hazard (85)

The Belgian wizard spent seven incredible seasons with Chelsea, and while his goal record is impressive, it was his creativity and individual brilliance that makes him one of the most talented players in the club’s history.

Hazard was instrumental as the club won the league title in 2015, scoring 14, and he was once again pivotal when the Blues lifted the trophy in 2017 with 16 league goals.

Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink (69)

The Dutchman was at the peak of his career after joining from Atletico Madrid in 2000. He bagged 23 goals in each of his first two seasons at Chelsea

Hasselbaink may have became less prolific in his next two campaigns before leaving for Middlesbrough but he always managed to reach double figures.

Gianfranco Zola (59)

A Chelsea icon, the Italian was a symbol of the club’s modern era even before the arrival of Roman Abramovich as owner.

Zola was more than a goalscorer, he was a creator and an artist. It could be argued he was the Messi before there was Messi, and his six and half years in London were nothing less than memorable.
