Chelsea faded badly after a strong start in the draw against Brighton yesterday, but one player in particular held firm as the Blues came away with a point from the Amex.
Kepa Arrizabalaga has been criticised for some of his performances this season but he had an excellent game on the South Coast and fans on Twitter have been praising the Spaniard:
The only person trying to win that game

He was really good today what a start of 2020 let’s hope he can continue like this, too bad about the goal #KTBFFH

Was phenomenal late on with two big saves. Need to work on dealing with aerial balls and be confident in going out for them. Solid performance otherwise. He’s the reason we walked away with something.

Could’ve gotten really embarrassing if it wasn’t for him. Kepa was huge!

Kepa is a very capable shot-stopper as he showed once again yesterday afternoon, but his consistency has been called into question this season.
The keeper is certainly not the most pressing issue in Chelsea’s defence. The Blues have kept just four clean sheets in the Premier League, and combined with an attack which has begun to fire blanks, it has led to some very inconsistent form over the past few months.
Whether manager Frank Lampard will look to address those deficiencies in the January transfer window, we shall have to wait and see.
