In a stunning development, Chelsea have opted to part ways with Thomas Tuchel just six games into the Premier League season.
Despite the German overseeing an overhaul of the squad in the summer that cost the club a staggering £271m, the Blues have decided to sack their manager, with it being claimed by some sources that he had lost the dressing room.
In terms of the favourites to replace Tuchel, Brighton manager Graham Potter is the early frontrunner, with BetVictor pricing him at 4/5 odds-on to be appointed.
At the moment, former Tottenham and PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino is second in the running, while Zinedine Zidane, Diego Simeone and Brendan Rodgers make up the top five with most bookmakers.
Potter’s outstanding work at Brighton has seen the Seagulls reach unprecedented levels of success. They currently sit fourth in the Premier League table, three points above Chelsea. We shall see if he does end up taking up the hot seat at Stamford Bridge.
