Chelsea winger Willian has revealed he did offer Gonzalo Higuain the ball for the penalty against Sheffield Wednesday yesterday.
The new signing turned down the offer and insisted his teammate took it. Willian stuck the ball away instead to open the scoring on 26 minutes in the FA Cup tie.
Fans on Twitter were praising the Brazilian for his great gesture:
Won’t lie, that’s class from Willian.

Higuain put in a decent display against the Owls but he will be hoping to open his account for his new club in the not too distant future.
Goals from Callum Hudson-Odoi and a second from Willian clinched a comfortable 3-0 win for the Blues, sealing Maurizio Sarri side’s place in the fifth round of the cup competition.
Next up for Chelsea will be Bournemouth who they face at the Vitality Stadium on Wednesday evening. It will certainly be an open contest and Higuain is likely to start his second game in succession.
