Chelsea have tabled an €80m (£69.5m) bid for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, according to ESPN.
The Serbian international is said to be “unhappy” at the Serie A club, and the Blues are keen to take advantage of his potential availability. It is fair to say that the news about an offer for Vlahovic has not gone down too well among fans on Twitter, with many questioning whether he is good enough for the Premier League:
That number is outrageous. Just bring back Lukaku or Abraham, they have the same record in the same league

he’s not even better than Lukaku lmao

A big money move for another potential flop.

Am not believing this man.

Outrageous, that's too much, 50m, that's his value at his peak

This amount is outrageous for such an underwhelming player! The new manager should be involved not just the club buying players.

€80 mil a bit steep, was hoping £50-£60 mil

I'd be very surprised if that was true. It seems to vastly exceed his value. Also Chelsea haven't even confirmed the manager for next season yet.

First offer 80m???
This isn’t even worth that amount tbh— Mr. Right Now (@iamzeelee) May 21, 2023
Vlahovic has struggled in front of goal during his first full season at Juve. After starting the campaign in good form, racking up six goals in his first nine league appearances, he has scored just four more times in Serie A, and another four in other competitions.
The 23-year-old actually turned down a move to Arsenal in order to make the switch to Juventus in the first place so you do have to wonder why Chelsea are soon keen on him. On top of his average scoring record, he hasn’t exactly been enthusiastic about moving to England in the past.
