Terry To Remain At The Bridge For Another Season

According to the Daily Mail, Chelsea skipper John Terry is reportedly in talks with the club to extend his contract by one season in June, when the former England international’s existing contract expires at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea have had a true hero in Terry over the past 16 years, and the 33-year old will surely go down in the history books as one of the greatest defenders in the club’s history. Terry also led his country for several years before retiring from international football due to controversial reasons. However, his quality of defending is to date helping to keep Chelsea in the Barclays Premier League title hunt, and if Terry does leave the club in the summer, a title win would be a fitting end to an unforgettable spell by a player at one club.

The Blues follow a firm policy with players over 30-year of age, and do not extend their contract beyond 12 months. Terry, who wanted a two-year deal after his current deal expired, has however agreed to the club policy, and should put pen to paper in the coming months.
