Team News, Betting Odds And Where To Watch Heidenheim Vs Chelsea

Chelsea turn their attention away from the Premier League this week as they face a Europa Conference League clash against Heidenheim.

The German club sit 15th in the Bundesliga after what has been a poor start to the season, however, like Chelsea they have won their opening three games in the Europa Conference League.

Enzo Maresca will be pleased with Chelsea’s recent form as they are unbeaten in four games and come off the back of a 2-1 win against the Blues boss’ former team in Leicester City.

It led to the sacking of Foxes manager Steve Cooper as goals from Nicolas Jackson and Enzo Fernandez gave Chelsea the three points.

They have won their opening three games in the Conference League with the last one being an impressive 8-0 win against minnows Noah as they stake their claim to being the best team in the competition.

Levi Colwill and Malo Gusto will likely both be rested for the game as they have been dealing with an illness whereas Pedro Neto picked up a knock whilst on international duty with Portugal so will also likely be rested.

Reece James remains the only Chelsea player to be ruled out completely as he is dealing with a recurring hamstring issue. Click here to see our predicted XI for the game on Thursday night.

Chelsea backed to dominate in Conference League again

Due to the quality and depth that Enzo Maresca’s side have, there is no surprise to see them heavily backed to win against Heidenheim on Thursday night.

According to Oddschecker, the Blues are backed to win at 4/9 giving them a 69.2% chance to win whereas their opponents are backed at 7/1 (12.5%. A draw is backed at 4/1 (20%).

We predict a 3-0 win for Chelsea who will yet again cement their strong position at the top of the Europa Conference League table.
