Chelsea Star Will Refuse To Sign New Contract Unless Club Halt Pursuit Of 65M Rated Summer Target

Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham has no intention of signing a contract extension, according to The Athletic.

The 23-year-old will have two years remaining on his current deal in the summer but the club’s reported pursuit of £65m rated Erling Haaland suggests that he has little chance of becoming first choice at Stamford Bridge.

Abraham is reportedly very ambitious and wants to be a regular starter at both club and international level. However, despite being Chelsea’s top scorer, he has been in and out of the team this season and new manager Thomas Tuchel is clearly not convinced about him.

The German substituted the forward at half-time against Southampton at the weekend, stating after the game it was a tactical decision rather than one forced upon him by injury.

This campaign, Abraham has started only 12 Premier League games, having last played a full 90 minutes in Frank Lampard’s last league match in charge against Leicester.
