Superstar may be prepared to snub Real Madrid after Chelsea’s transfer activity

Chelsea endured a difficult time during the summer transfer window, missing out on a number of prime targets, but Antonio Conte’s side still managed to secure some very good signings to bolster his ranks.

Alvaro Morata, Antonio Rudiger and Tiemoue Bakayoko arrived in the summer window before the captures of Danny Drinkwater and Davide Zappacosta on Deadline Day. However, it wasn’t just big names that were secured.

Whilst Kylian Mbappe was the most talked about Kylian in the summer market, Chelsea signed one of their own; landing Eden Hazard’s younger brother Kylian Hazard in a move that could help the Blues keep their Belgian superstar at Stamford Bridge.

With Cristiano Ronaldo in the twilight years of his career and there being continued speculation on the future of both Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale, Real Madrid are ready to rejuvenate their front-line and are reportedly eyeing Hazard next summer.

However, with 22-year-old younger brother Kylian now in West London, it’s understood that Eden is willing to sign a fresh contract to commit himself to the defending Premier League champions; having last extended his contract in 2015.

That said, Hazard has made his admiration for Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane clear and turning down the opportunity to sign for a club who have an astonishing record of winning three Champions League titles in the past four years.

At 26, Hazard is set to entire the prime years of his career and Belgium’s success at the World Cup next summer may play a huge part in whether the player who many tip the be a future Ballon D’Or winner stays at the club or moves abroad.

Having seen Paris Saint-Germain flex their financial muscles by securing a world-record deal for Neymar and landing Monaco starlet Mbappe on-loan with an option to buy, as well as seeing rivals Barcelona spend heavily to land Ousmane Dembele, Real Madrid are likely to go for broke in the transfer market next summer.

With Kylian Hazard now at Stamford Bridge though, playing for the development squad, his older brother may find it more difficult to move away. However, it may all depend on whether Antonio Conte hands both Hazards opportunities, as Thorgan Hazard already left due to a lack of first-team openings.
