Sporting Director Opens Up On Chances Of Chelsea Signing £70m Rated Bundesliga Star In January

Borussia Dortmund are unlikely to sell Christian Pulisic in the January transfer window, according to the German club’s sporting director.

When asked about the American international’s future, Michael Zorc said that he is very confident that the winger will still be at the club come February:

“I strongly assume that Christian is still wearing the BVB [Dortmund] jersey in February.”

Chelsea have reportedly made an official approach for Pulisic already, although Dortmund are said to have put a £70m price tag on the 20-year-old.

Liverpool and Tottenham have also been linked with a move for the American, but it appears that any switch is more likely to take place in the summer.

Pulisic has not signed a new contract at Signal Iduna Park, and with the player heading into the last 12 months of his current deal at the end of the season, a transfer battle is likely to take place.

The winger has not been a first-team regular for Dortmund in recent weeks. He has made just ten starts, and 16 appearances in total, this campaign, although he has suffered a number of muscular injuries that have hampered his game time.
