Spain Striker Snubs Chelsea Interest!

The 21-year-old Paco Alcacer is a one-club man and has come through the ranks at Valencia. He scored six league goals in more than 20 appearances last season but he has been in inspired form this campaign.

His four league goals in just ten appearances has propelled Valencia to second in the La Liga table, ahead of last season’s top two Atletico Madrid and Barcelona, and just a point behind early pace setters Real Madrid.

The striker’s prolific form has led many clubs to cast more than a glancing eye in his direction. Chelsea are reportedly targeting the youngster but it seems Jose Mourinho will miss out on the Spaniard.

Alcacer has reaffirmed his commitment to the club and confirmed he wants to stay at the Mestalla. According to Futbol, he said, “I’m from Valencia and want to stay here.”

So not every player jumps at the chance to work with the “Special One” apparently although we could soon see Alcacer change his tune if money starts talking to him with the pull of the Champions League each year.
