Chelsea midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka put in a standout cameo performance in the 0-0 draw against Brentford on Wednesday evening.
The £20m summer signing from Aston Villa has had limited game time since arriving at Stamford Bridge but he was excellent after coming on as a substitute at the Gtech Community Stadium. Fans on Twitter believe they have a player on their hands who has a huge amount of potential:
Was so impressive last night 🔥

He should be played more often

Man put up a convincing performance despite not being involved in a match that much! The highest minutes he has played was 5 minutes I think, before yesterday's appearance. Consistent match time will actually do him alot of good

Chukwuemeka does look like someone who could thrive under the guidance of Graham Potter. He has plenty of attributes, both physically and technically that suggest he possesses the talent required to make it at the top level.
Of course, he will need to show that he can put in top performances on a consistent basis but, unlike previous manager Thomas Tuchel, Potter will be prepared to give him the minutes he needs in high-profile matches so he can learn and improve as a young player.
