Sneijder Could Add To Chelsea Armoury

Chelsea could be adding even more quality to their star studded squad, as Galatasaray midfielder Wesley Sneijder is continuing to face more problems with regard to his wages and a place in the first team at the Turkish giants, according to the Express.

Sneijder’s club career has not been as consistent as his international, with the player having troubles with president’s at clubs. The midfielder’s career began at Ajax, where he started as a youth academy player. He was then offered his first professional contract, and after signing the same, he played 126 matches for the Dutch giants, scoring 43 times, before he was recognised by Real Madrid as a future potential star. The Galacticos signed Sneijder for a record fee of nearly £25 million, but his career at the Spanish capital was not a success. The Dutchman spent just two seasons at Madrid, playing 52 matches, scoring 11 goals. Issues with the internal management caused him to move to Inter Milan, before eventually moving to Galatasaray.

Chelsea have been flying high this season with consistency in all departments, starting from the strikers. Diego Costa has provided the goal threat the club needed from a centre forward, and what was missing with Fernando Torres. Eden Hazard has continued his scintillating entry into the Barclays Premier League, and the Belgian along with playmaker Cesc Fabregas have provided nothing but quality for Costa to exploit.

Is Wesley Sneijder really necessary and would he even get much game time unless of course injury strikes?
