Koke is a product of Atletico’s youth academy and has been with the club since the tender age of eight. He was in outstanding form last season and was the key man in midfield as Atletico finished above both Real Madrid and Barcelona to win the La Liga title after waiting 18 years.

It is only natural that the 22-year-old is being eyed by a host of clubs across Europe, including the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Coach Diego Simeone will be most reluctant to lose his star midfielder, especially after losing talismanic striker Diego Costa to Chelsea over the summer. However, the club are in financial turmoil and could cash-in on £55 million Koke in the summer, according to talkSPORT.

The Blues have been linked with Koke in the past but it will be hard to see where he will fit in the team given the outstanding form of Cesc Fabregas and Nemanja Matic. However, there is always room for quality players in the squad and Jose Mourinho will have money to burn next summer.
