Should Chelsea Sell Torres?

Spanish striker, Fernando Torres has recently completed three years since his famous £50 million move from Liverpool but has scored a paltry 19 league goals in more than 100 appearances for the Blues.

A red-hot striker for Liverpool, Torres looks a shadow of his former self at Chelsea and has more often than not cut a lonely, frustrated figure on the pitch. And with the forward turning 30 next month, it is difficult to envisage Torres ever being back to his best in a Chelsea shirt.

According to the Mirror, Singapore businessman Peter Lim, reportedly the new owner of Valencia, has targeted a move for Torres in the summer transfer window. The billionaire has drawn out a list of possible transfer targets with former Atletico Madrid striker Torres on top of that list.

With Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich finally convinced that Torres will not be prolific at the Bridge, it is plausible that the World Cup winner will be sold this summer. The report suggests that Chelsea are holding out for a fee in the region of £13 million. Jose Mourinho is also targeting a big money striker in the summer with Edison Cavani his number one target.

Do you think Chelsea should accept a huge loss and sell Fernando Torres in the summer?
