Spezia striker M’Bala Nzola has admitted he does harbour the ambition of playing for Chelsea at some point during his career.
The Frenchman has been in excellent form in Serie A this season, having scored eight goals in just 12 league appearances, and while he says his “dream” is a transfer to Ligue One side Lyon, he also wants to make the switch to Stamford Bridge one day.
“Lyon are my favorite team and it would be nice to be able to wear that shirt in the future. Another challenge I would like to experience would be to play for Chelsea.”
Nzola has been linked with West Ham in recent weeks but the Blues are very unlikely to make a bid for the 24-year-old at this time, considering the number of forwards manager Frank Lampard already has at his disposal.
The London club only recently purchased Timo Werner in the summer and, although the German has struggled for form, the likes of Olivier Giroud and Tammy Abraham have stepped up to plate in recent weeks with goals. It seems Nzola may have to be patient if he ever wants to realise his aim of moving to England.
