‘Sell Him’ ‘He Looks Rusty, He CAN’T Even Take A Player One On One’ Chelsea Fans Despair At £47.5M Summer Signing’s Performance

Chelsea winger Raheem Sterling struggled as the Blues slipped to a 1-0 defeat to Wolves at the weekend.

While the England international was by no means the only poor performer, a lot more was expected of the player, who cost £47.5m when he signed from Manchester City last summer. Fans on Twitter were far from impressed with Sterling‘s display, with some even raising the question of whether he should stay at Stamford Bridge beyond the end of the season:

Sterling’s numbers this campaign have not been terrible. He has scored seven goals and provided three assists in all competitions, which are better figures than most of his teammates.

However, the 28-year-old should be held to higher standards than that. For City last year, he racked up 26 goal contributions and it shows you just how steep the decline has been in his game that he will likely fail to get anywhere close to that number in his first season with the Blues.
