Juventus have joined Bayern Munich in the race to sign Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi, according to the Daily Mail. The Serie A champions are reportedly monitoring the 20-year-old’s situation very closely.
Bayern’s interest goes back the best part of eighteen months when Hudson-Odoi is said to have handed in a transfer request during the 2019 January transfer window in order to force through a move to the Bundesliga side.
The England international eventually signed a lucrative new contract to stay at Stamford Bridge but, following the arrival of Hakim Ziyech and Kai Havertz in the summer, it is thought his game time this season could be severely restricted.
That has led to Bayern reviving their interest in the hope that Chelsea would be open to letting him go before the transfer deadline next month. It remains to be seen, though, how serious Juventus’s interest is in the winger considering they are not thought to have a sizeable transfer budget.
