Sarri Speaks Out On When Kepa Will Make His Return To Chelsea Starting Eleven

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has confirmed that Kepa Arrizabalaga will make his return to the starting lineup within the next two games.

The goalkeeper was dropped for Willy Caballero for the 2-0 win over Tottenham last night, but when asked about the Spaniard’s future following the game, the Blues boss said:

“I don’t know if the next match he will be with us, but in one of the next two for sure. We cannot kill him. When you are young you make mistakes, but you need to understand.”

Chelsea face Fulham on Sunday and then Dynamo Kiev in the Europa League the following Thursday. Reading between the lines, it’s probable Kepa will be named in goal to face the Ukrainian side.

Sarri has managed to reassert his authority on the Blues squad following the debacle at the end of extra-time in the Carabao Cup Final.

The task now will be to ensure a top-four finish at least this season. The London club currently lie sixth in the Premier League table.

However, they do have a game in hand over both Arsenal and Manchester United in the race for fourth. The match against Brighton has yet to be rescheduled following the cup final appearance.
