Sarri Keen On Stealing Away Chelsea Talisman, With Juve Prepared To Pay £70m

Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri has asked his club to make a bid for Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante, according to the Daily Mail. The Bianconeri boss rarely makes decisions on signing players, preferring to leave it to his sporting director, but he very keen on landing the Frenchman.

He has tasked Juve’s vice-chairman Pavel Nedved with bringing the 28-year-old to Italy and the Serie A club are said to be convinced that £70m will be enough to get their man.

Considering Juventus already have a plethora of central midfielders, it’s highly unlikely that Kante will be a top priority for either Juventus or Sarri. They recruited Aaron Ramsey and Adrien Rabiot in the summer, and already have the likes of Blaise Matuidi, Miralem Pjanic, Sami Khedira and Emre Can in their squad.

On top of that, Chelsea will likely demand a lot more than the £70m being suggested. Kante only signed a five-year contract back in November last year. It’s best to take this rumour with a huge pinch of salt.
