Sarri Handed New Five-Year Deal As Chelsea Commit To Long Term Plan

Maurizio Sarri has been given a new five-year contract by Chelsea to end speculation about his future at the club.

Despite having been bored to death by the Italian’s ‘Sarriball’ tactics, Blues fans can now look forward to watching five more years of passing the ball sideways and backwards.

Sarri’s has recovered somewhat from the Carabao Cup Final controversy with results having improved in recent weeks.

The Italian’s commitment has seemingly inspired Eden Hazard to sign a new contract with the club too. The Belgian is apparently so awestruck by Sarri’s style of football that he turned down an offer from his idol Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid.

With Hazard on board, Sarri is reportedly now emboldened to continue his long-term project at Stamford Bridge.

His plans include ensuring that Callum Hudson-Odoi doesn’t play more than 20 minutes in case he runs too far forward, and insisting that N’Golo Kante continues to play out of position so he doesn’t get in Jorginho’s way of passing back to the goalkeeper.

As you may have gathered this is an April Fool’s story. Have a good day and don’t believe everything you read on the internet!
