Sarri Gives Response On Whether Eden Hazard Has Made His Decision To Leave Chelsea

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has revealed that Eden Hazard has not confided in him whether he has decided to leave the club or not.

The Belgian international has stated that he has made a decision on his future, but so far there has been no clear indication on whether he is on his way out of Stamford Bridge. When asked about the Hazard situation yesterday, Sarri said:

‘I don’t know. You have two possibilities, ask Hazard or the club. I am not in charge of the transfer market. We need Hazard to be at the top for the end of the season.”

“Now we can’t solve the problem, the market is closed. I want to respect his decision. I don’t know if he has decided or not.”

Real Madrid have apparently made first contact about signing Hazard with an initial bid having been rejected by Chelsea.

The 28-year-old is closing in on the last 12 months of his contract, but the Blues’ transfer ban could complicate any potential exit from the club.

With no way of replacing Hazard, there is a possibility that Chelsea will look to keep him even if he doesn’t sign a new deal. Much may depend on how aggressively Real pursue the player and what price they are prepared to pay for the playmaker.
