Romano Reveals Big Development In Chelsea Ace’s Move To Bundesliga Giants

Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi will not be leaving before the transfer window closes, according to the Guardian‘s Fabrizio Romano.

Bayern Munich have been trying to sign the 19-year-old on loan but Romano says the player wants to stay at Stamford Bridge while manager Frank Lampard is very happy to keep him:

Lampard had added fuel to the fire about Hudson-Odoi possibly leaving the club yesterday when he refused to rule out the teenager’s departure:

“There is no definitive answer – by Monday we will know the answer. Bayern might have declared their interest, which is one thing, but Callum is absolutely part of my plans. What Callum wants comes into consideration. He is our player and everything has to be right for everyone. Callum showed what we wanted, especially in the second half when he was more aggressive, took on the full-back and got crosses in.”

However, since then, it seems there have been further developments. The player’s performance in the 4-0 win over Crystal Palace is likely to have convinced Lampard that the winger does have the desire to improve and is capable of making an impact on games.

Whether Hudson-Odoi will be a regular starter going forward, though, it remains to be seen. Both Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech are making their way back to fitness with both likely to be ready to start after the international break.
