Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich’s determination to get Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland could prove pivotal in the Blues’ attempts to sign the Norwegian this summer, according to the Telegraph‘s Matt Law.
The journalist reports that Abramovich is very keen to land the 20-year-old and the fact that he is willing to work with his agent Mino Raiola may give Chelsea a key advantage over rivals Manchester United and Manchester City.
Haaland is quickly becoming the club’s priority summer target and, with Abramovich giving the transfer his full backing, supporters on Twitter are optimistic that the club can get the deal over the line:
Roman gets what he wants.

Fans are clearly excited about the prospect of signing Haaland but there are other factors in play that need to be considered. The Norwegian international is unlikely to join a club that aren’t in the Champions League so a top-four finish is vital. His agent Raiola is also a tricky customer so he’ll need to be handled well.
