Roma Set To Challenge For Ivorian Ace Who Chelsea Can Sign For Just £13m

Roma have stepped up their interest in Sassuolo winger Jeremie Boga, according to Goal. The Ivorian international has been in good form and his performances have also attracted the interest of Napoli, Brighton and Everton.

However, after selling the 23-year-old for £3.5m last summer, Chelsea are in the driving seat to re-sign the player, if they wish to do so.

The Blues inserted a €15m (£13m) buyback clause when they sold Boga to Sassuolo back in July, but it remains to be seen whether they would want to take him back to Stamford Bridge.

Manager Frank Lampard is reportedly looking for another attack-minded midfielder with the likes of Philippe Coutinho, Kai Havertz and Jadon Sancho having been linked in recent months.

Boga would be available for a great deal less than those players but, while his eight goals in 24 league appearances this season is impressive, there are doubts over whether he would have the sufficient experience and quality to be a regular starter for Chelsea.
