Roma Fuming Over Strootman Transfer Talks!

The Dutchman has been linked with a January exit after just one and a half years at the Italian club. Talks of a move away from Stadio Olimpico have gathered pace after the Serie A side were knocked out of the Champions League by Manchester City last midweek.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has targeted a January move for the 24-year-old, and Strootman’s former Netherlands manager Louis van Gaal is also interested in bringing him to Old Trafford. Both managers are prepared to shell out £30 million for his services, but Roma are adamant that he will not be sold, according to the Express.

Roma’s general director Mauro Baldissoni said, “Our president (James Pallotta) has already spoken about this and he gets angry with the rumours that link him to Manchester United. Our policy is that of investing in players that have quality but have room for improvement. Kevin is a young player with experience, and we want to build our future with players like him.”
