Rio Ferdinand Predicts Where Chelsea Will Finish In The Battle For The Top Four

BT Sport pundit Rio Ferdinand is predicting that both Chelsea and Manchester United will finish in the top four at the expense of Leicester City.

The Blues are in pole position to qualify for the Champions League, being a point ahead of their main rivals going into the final two games of the season.

Frank Lampard’s side do face a trip to Liverpool in the run-in but Ferdinand thinks they will get a win against Wolves, which he believes will be enough to seal qualification, along with United:

“I looked at it at first and thought Liverpool and Wolves, which are Chelsea’s games, they’re going to struggle. But I think Chelsea will beat Wolves last day of the season, something to play for. And then I think that West Ham will do Man United a favour.”

“I just think Man United’s run, the way they’ve been playing, they’re scintillating at the moment and I just think they win both their last two games and then they definitely qualify.”

Ferdinand makes some good points and it’s clear Leicester do have the hardest job of the three to secure a top-four finish. They travel to play Tottenham on Sunday before hosting United at the King Power Stadium the following weekend.

With Ben Chilwell, James Maddison and Christain Fuchs all ruled out until the end of the season as well, it would suggest Chelsea do have a massive advantage over one of their two rivals.
