Report Reveals Chelsea Have Had 60M Offer ‘Rejected’ For Brazilian Star

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has turned down a €70m (£60m) bid from Chelsea for Rodrygo, according to Don Balon.

The Spanish rumour mongers claim that the Blues’ search for a winger led to them making a formal offer for the Brazilian international but Perez “rejected” it “without hesitation”.

Rodrygo scored a crucial goal against Chelsea in the Champions League quarter-final at the Bernabeu back in April, but he is not a regular starter for the La Liga champions.

The 21-year-old made just 17 league starts for Carlo Ancelotti’s side last season, but the Spanish club are unseemingly not prepared to let him leave.

Don Balon report that Perez is looking to hand Rodrygo a contract extension as he sees him as a key player for Real in the future. The winger’s current deal expires in 2025 but they are planning to offer a proposal that will keep him at the club until 2028.
