REPORT: PSG Made Attempt To Sign Chelsea Star In ‘Last Days Of January’ But Player Scuppered Move

Paris Saint Germain did try and lure Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante to the French capital during the “last days of January” before the transfer window closed, according to Le Parisien.

The Ligue One club were hoping that, as the 31-year-old had only eighteen months left on his contract, he would be tempted by a move back to his home country.

However, Kante reportedly ignored the proposal from PSG with the player said to be happy in London, where he doesn’t get the attention from the press he would get in France.

A move to Paris has been mooted a number of times over the years but Kante has always expressed his desire to continue playing in English football, where he has thrived since joining Leicester all the way back in 2015.

With his commitment clear, Chelsea will be keen to tie down Kante to a new contract at the first opportunity they get.
