Report Names The TWO Chelsea Players Who Will Not Have To Take Pay Cut With The Rest Of The Squad

Chelsea pair Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly won’t be forced to take a pay cut this summer, according to The Sun.

It is believed that most of the first-team squad have clauses in their contracts that mean they will have their salary reduced by 30% after missing out on the Champions League.

Club co-owner Todd Boehly reportedly made it a stipulation in all new deals signed following his arrival at Stamford Bridge, but it appears Sterling and Koulibaly are the exceptions.

The two players are Chelsea’s highest earners, with Sterling believed to be taking home a wage of £325,000 a week, while Koulibaly is on £295,000 a week.

Other players, including Reece James, Ben Chilwell and Wesley Fofana, who signed contracts within the last twelve months and earn over £200,00o a week, will apparently see their salaries drop.

Whether Sterling and Koulibaly’s special treatment will affect morale in the squad, we shall have to wait and see.
