Chelsea are targeting three centre-backs ahead of next summer, according to FCInterNews.it.
The Italian website were reporting on the Blues’ interest in Milan Skriniar when they also claimed that there are two other players who are ahead of the Slovakian on the club’s shortlist.
One of them, RB Leipzig’s Josko Gvardiol, is well known, but it is believed that Graham Potter’s side are also targeting his teammate Mohamed Simakan.
The France Under 21 international joined from Strasbourg last year, and it appears as if Chelsea’s scouts have been keeping an eye on both defenders.
In terms of Skriniar, FCInterNews say that the Blues contacted the centre-half’s agents a few weeks ago, although it seems he isn’t the number one priority for the London club at the moment.
He will be available on a free transfer at the end of the season, though, with his contract set to expire in June, so it is one to keep an eye on.
