REPORT: Ex Spurs Boss Would Be Interested In Taking Chelsea Post

Former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is keeping a close eye on the managerial situation at a number of clubs, including Chelsea, according to The Athletic.

The website claims that, despite the Blues’ excellent form under Frank Lampard recently, Pochettino is watching attentively to see whether there could be a job opening at Stamford Bridge in the near future.

The Argentine has been out of work for a year since being sacked by Spurs but he is not in a rush to return to the dugout and he is waiting for the right opportunity to get back into management.

As well as Chelsea, Pochettino is said to be monitoring developments at Manchester United, Manchester City and his former club Paris Saint-Germain.

Out of the four, United would still probably be the 48-year-old’s likeliest destination, with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer coming under pressure after a poor start to the season, while a return to PSG cannot be ruled out either with Thomas Tuchel’s contract expiring next summer.
