Report Claims That Pacey Dutch Starlet Has ‘Caught The Eye’ Of Chelsea As They Look For New No.9

Sturm Graz striker Emanuel Emegha has “caught the eye” of Chelsea, according to Foot Mercato.

The French website claims that the Blues are keen on strengthening their options in attack this summer and the Netherlands Under 2o international has grabbed the attention of scouts due to his pace and power.

Emegha only moved to Sturm Graz from Antwerp in August and he has managed to establish himself as a first-team regular over the course of the season, scoring nine times and providing five assists in 32 appearances.

The 20-year-old has been a key figure in his team’s push for the Austrian Bundesliga title. Sturm Graz are currently trailing league leaders Red Bull Salzburg by just three points with five games remaining.

It’s unlikely that Emegha is being considered by Chelsea as an option for the first team next season but, like David Datro Fofana, he could be deemed as one for the future.
