REPORT: Chelsea ‘Willing To Sacrifice’ Werner And Alonso As They Step Up Attempts To Sign Italian Ace

Chelsea are “willing to sacrifice” Timo Werner and Marco Alonso in their next offer for Juventus winger Federico Chiesa, according to Calciomercatoweb.it.

The Italian website claims that the Blues value Werner at €50m, and Alonso at just €15m, and they are prepared to use both players in a part-exchange deal for the Italian.

Juve are, however, not interested in selling Chiesa at this time and they are expected to table a contract extension to the 23-year-old in order to ward off Chelsea and other potential suitors.

The Italian international scored the winner against Thomas Tuchel’s side in a Champions League group match last month, but the London club have been keeping tabs on the player for quite a while.

Reports in the German media in the summer suggested that Chelsea tabled a bid in the region of €100m for Chiesa, which was turned down. It appears that offering players as part of the deal won’t improve their chances of signing him either.
