REPORT: Chelsea Weigh Up Swap Deal Involving £29m Rated Brazilian Playmaker

Chelsea are interested in AC Milan attacking midfielder Lucas Paqueta, according to Italian journalist Louis Girardi. It is suggested that the Brazilian could be involved in a swap deal for Tiemoue Bakayoko.

The Blues midfielder is currently on loan at Monaco but the Ligue One side are reportedly unlikely to pay the €40m required to make the deal permanent at the end of the season.

Bakayoko did spend a year on loan with the Rossoneri last campaign and it appears the Serie A club are still interested in bringing the player back to Italy in the summer.

They are believed to be looking to use Paqueta as a makeweight in the deal with the 22-year-old having fallen down the pecking order at the San Siro. He has made 34 appearances since joining the Italian side, but has only scored one goal and contributed three assists.

Milan paid Flamengo €35m (£29m) for the midfielder in January last year, but he was reportedly made available for transfer last month. They could be open to a straight swap deal with both players being valued at roughly the same amount.
