REPORT: Chelsea Table £44m Bid For La Liga Playmaker With Offer Being Considered

Chelsea have tabled a €52m (£44m) offer for Real Madrid attacking midfielder Isco, according to El Desmarque. The Spanish website claims that the Blues made the bid on Monday.

The amount matches the price tag that Real president Florentino Perez set last summer for the playmaker, but at the time, nobody was willing to match the demands.

With the Blues’ transfer ban having been lifted by the Court of Arbitration for Sport, they have now decided to enter the fray for Isco.

However, since the summer, the Spaniard’s position at the Bernabeu has changed slightly. While he was seemingly on his way out of the club before the start of the season, he has found his way back into manager Zinedine Zidane’s first-team plans over the past month.

Isco has started five of Real’s last six games, so Perez is now having to weigh up whether the club want to sell the 27-year-old at all.
