REPORT: Chelsea Send Scouts To See Turkish Under 19 Starlet In Action

Chelsea are tracking Galatasaray winger Yunus Akgun, according to ESPN FC.

The Blues are believed to have had scouts watching the midfielder when Turkey’s Under 19s defeated England in Antalya on Tuesday night.

Maurizio Sarri’s side weren’t the only side who sent representatives to watch Akgun, however, with Juventus, Benfica and Wolfsburg also keeping tabs on the 18-year-old.

The scouts would have been impressed by what they saw of the player with the midfielder providing the assist for the only goal of the game midway through the second half.

At club level, Akgun has broken into Galatasaray’s first team this season, having made his debut in the Turkish Super Cup as a substitute against Akhisarspor in early August.

Since then, he has gone on to make a further six appearances, including providing an assist on his league debut versus Alanyaspor in a 6-0 win.

He has yet to start a game for Galatasaray but he’s already been utilised as a right winger, a no.10 and on the left-hand side by manager Fatih Terim.
