REPORT: Chelsea Propose Swap Deal Including Kepa For 50m Rated Italian International

Chelsea will offer Kepa Arrizabalaga on loan in their bid to sign AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, according to the Football Insider.

The Blues were interested in signing Edouard Mendy from Rennes but they have been alerted to the availability of Donnarumma who has entered into the final year of his contract at the San Siro.

It is best to take this claim by the Football Insider with a large pinch salt, though. They report Chelsea are only looking to sign the £50m Rated Italian international on loan, with an option to buy next summer but, with the player’s current deal expiring in June, it is very unlikely that Milan would accept such an offer.

At 21 years of age, the Rossoneri would be entitled to compensation if he were to make the switch to Stamford Bridge next year but they would have no incentive to loan him out unless they also receive a sizeable loan fee. It also remains to be seen if they would be open to taking Kepa as part of the deal.
