Chelsea are “negotiating” for PSV Eindhoven midfielder Mohamed Ihattaren, according to Todofichajes.com. The Spanish rumour mongers state that talks are “well advanced,” with the Blues hoping to close the transfer before the next window opens.

The 18-year-old is certainly a player who is interesting a whole host of major European clubs, including Manchester City, and Chelsea have been mentioned as a possible suitor in recent months.

However, it would be wise to be cautious with this rumour. Todofichajes are not the most reliable of sources and do not have the best track record for getting transfer stories right.

Ihattaren is certainly someone Chelsea should be looking at, though, considering his talent, having scored nine goals and provided nine assists in 34 appearances this season.

The Dutchman does, however, play as a number 10 and manager Frank Lampard would probably be very hesitant to hamper the development of Mason Mount by bringing in a rival.
